I was restoring an early 2000s Galaxy DX 2517 when I realized the frequency counter display had dimming digits and missing segments. In this video I go over some tips & tricks you can do to get it up and working. A common problem is the solder joints between the frequency counter module and the display board due to the pad glued there and corrosion. In the end cleaning and touching that up only fixed it a little, so I replaced one of the readouts with a new one. Then I do a walkthrough and quick review.
