this video demonstrate how to diagnose misfires using crankshaft position sensor signal.
specially when you have very intermittent misfire on any cylinder which is hard to diagnose, this method is very effective.
Just using frequency math chanel on CKP signal, and it help to identify the crank shaft velocity changes to determine where the misfire occurred.
In this video i am using hantek 6074BE oscilloscope and amazing Hscope software for capturing the waveform.
No.1 chanel of yellow trace on CKP sensor signal wire and no.2 chanel of green trace on #1 ignition trigger signal wire.
You can see clearly crank shaft velocity changes on math frequency chanel of red trace when occurred the misfire.
Actually this excellent Hscope software is versatile and helped verymuch on automotive diagnostics.
