In this short video, Katie helps me by demonstrating how to hear the difference between her target sound /k/ and the sound she currently uses /t/. It is important that the child can hear the difference between the two sounds, both in isolation and then at the start of words (e.g. toffee vs coffee) otherwise they won't know when to use their new sound. You may have to work on this a few times before your child 'gets it' and use a gesture initially to cue them in if this helps. If they really struggle with this step, then don't forget to have their hearing checked.
