Prototyping a Hypergiant-style PhotoBioReactor at Home?

Late in 2019, a company called Hypergiant said they were going to save the world (sort of) by making a super efficient photobioreactor, growing algae superfast and eating carbon from the atmosphere.
They said they would release the plans, open source, for people to build them at home.
Then they didn't.
So, here's my prototype for one of my own. From the start, I wanted to build this as cheap as I could, with things that I either had, or could get easily. Also, it had to be easy - I'm not a "Maker", or an inventor. Or an engineer. Or scientist... or YouTuber, for that matter. But lacking that, can we still save the world a little bit?
Things I used for this first, MK I prototype of the EPBR - the Everyone PhotoBioReactor (name subject to change if I think of something cooler - or if you guys think of something cooler):
EK watercooling reservoirs, hard and soft tubing
Fractal Design cabinet
12V noname Peristaltic Pump (from eBay)
12V warm white LED strip
5V USB noname aquarium air pump (from AliExpress)
That's basically it. No sponsors - brand names just for reference. :)
Plans for MK II:
Enclosure made of sustainably sourced wood, pH sensor, temperature sensor, turbidity sensor, and if I can figure it out, a couple of CO2 sensors to measure and compare air in vs air out. Should be interesting - keep an eye out for the next build video!
