Marvel Legends 20th Anniversary Series 1 Hulk Review. This is a tribute based on the original action figure released back in 2002 by Toy Biz. Other characters in the wave include Captain America, Iron Man, and Toad. Hulk is a pretty decent action figure, with great looking sculpt across his head, hands and body. All work together to make them look like a good representation of the character as he appeared in the comic books from the 1970s. The package is a retro card somewhat based on the first toy biz release back in 2002, but obviously a lot has been changed over the course of 20 years, such as the lack of a comic book insert as well as a change from clamshell to card. The other biggest differences being the changes in sculpt and articulation, as well as the comic book and base being a cardboard backdrop now. Accessories include a really cool effects base as well as a damaged mandroid head. I found the paint applications on Hulk to be a little sloppy and the articulation on his abdominals and hips are very limited. Also, the bottom lip on one of his head sculpts looks very strange to me, it looks great up close but from a distance it doesn't read well from a distance because a lot of the colors used are the same value. I had a lot of fun with this Hulk toy and I think I'm going to have to rate this one a B. It's a good representation of classic Hulk and is worth checking out, but there's also a lot of room for improvement on this one.
