July Sewing Makes 2025 | Ruby Overalls, Pona Jacket, Darling Ranges Tops & More!

Hey, Sewists! 👋 It’s Kellie here with my July Makes 2025 sewing vlog! This month was all about filling wardrobe gaps with practical, stylish, and comfy pieces. From cozy jackets to versatile tops, I’ve been sewing up a storm with some of my favorite indie patterns!

🧶 What I Made:
1. Ruby Overalls – Comfy and cute in cherry swirl cotton drill (Helen’s Closet)
2. Leopard Print Pona Jacket – My experiment with neutrals!
3. Quilted Pona Jacket – Bold, warm, and fully lined using the hack on Helen’s blog!
4. Bestie Bag – Custom request from my son, made in duck print fabric (BF Patterns).
5. Darling Ranges Peplum Tops – 3 layering staples in gingham, stripes, and polka dots (Megan Nielsen).

👚 Why I Love These Makes:
• Gap #1: Need more layering-friendly sleeves – check!
• Gap #2: I was all about cardigans and denim jackets but needed a different option for winter.
