The Mitchell Modern Mini (MM100) after set up...

After the Mitchell MM100 with aftermarket p-90s (an antique form of pickup) is set up correctly.

bridge pickup - both - neck pickup
run clean through a Fishman Loudbox Artist with tone knobs set at 5, echo at 5, gain at 4.

Verdict: As a "Metal" guitar it was better with the factory humbuckers, but for clean & edge of breakup this is definitely my preference. Now that the action is lowered & I don't have to fight with it the play or stay in tune, it's a good "non offensive space" guitar. It's a weird mix of jangle, quack and chime.
