Drifting Through an Underwater PARADISE | Uncut Dive at Black Forest, Balicasag | Talk to the fish

Hey everyone, and welcome back to the channel! I'm Regis Boileau, your SSI Dive Instructor, and today I'm taking you on a full, unedited immersion into one of the most famous dive sites in the Philippines: Black Forest on Balicasag Island, Panglao. 🇵🇭

This is a complete 50-minute, surface-to-surface video in HD. No cuts, no edits—just the pure, unfiltered experience of a real scuba dive. You'll see the thrilling moments, the peaceful waits, the gear checks, and the mesmerizing reality of being underwater.

Balicasag Island is a legendary marine sanctuary, and Black Forest is its crown jewel, known for its dramatic drop-offs and, historically, a dense garden of black corals which gives the site its name. On this dive, we had a gentle current, perfect for a relaxing drift dive. The visibility was around 10-15 meters, which I find can be an advantage as the fish are often less shy!

After drifting over a sandy slope, the magnificent wall appears. It was a true paradise for countless species of clownfish nestled in their anemones, along with vibrant clouds of anthias and chromis. 🐠 We were lucky enough to be surrounded by what I can only describe as a "fish soup"—huge schools of bannerfish and snappers swam with us for a while. Keep your eyes peeled for a beautiful green turtle 🐢, some curious map pufferfish, and the few remaining black corals that make this site so special.
