I got curious, and tried putting VCD in my PS2 Slim. Not sure why, but it detects it as PS2 disk (and a blue one too!*), and then loops on RSOD.
FYI, I have a modchip installed, so maybe that has something to do with that.
0:22 VCD is put into console, and console is reset.
0:54 VCD removed from the console to get into dashboard, trying to launch it from browse menu.
1:58 Putting normal PS2 game disk
*I was informed that Blue PS2 disks are actually CDs, so it makes sense that it would detect VCD as a blue disk.
