Katniss VS Haymitch: How One Revolution Worked but the Other Failed (A Hunger Games Analysis)

The Sunrise on the Reaping is the most recent Hunger Games book. It’s personally one of my most anticipated books for 2025 as it explores one of the most beloved characters from the Hunger Games: Haymitch Abernathy. After finishing this book, I would even say that Katniss and Haymitch are two sides of the same revolution but the only difference is how they ended. In this video, I’ll be exploring Katniss and Haymitch’s similarities to see how both were turned into an example. With Katniss becoming a beacon of hope while Haymitch turned into a cautionary tale for Katniss if she hadn’t succeeded in the revolution.
