What Watching People Die Young Taught Me About Work

Losing my mum and mother-in-law within a few years completely changed the way I look at time, work, and the life we think we’re guaranteed.

When you lose people close to you, especially people who worked their whole lives waiting for “retirement”, it forces you to rethink everything. The plans we imagine for later, the things we put off. I've never been one for banking on the idea that I'll have a long, happy retirement, but after seeing this happen to two of my closest family members, it solidified the idea to me that we are really only guaranteed the here and now.

If you’re thinking about changing careers, pursuing something creative, or just feeling that quiet pull that says “I’m meant for more than this”… I hope something in here gives you the push you need. We don’t get time back. But we do get to choose what we do with the time we still have.
