Here is an Oreck XL 21 that I bought off Facebook Marketplace from a seller locally in my area. I do have another XL21 in my collection ( • Oreck XL21 (XL21-750ECB) Lightweight Uprig... ), but that one has its original outer bag, whereas this one has a replacement from a titanium silver XL21. When I got this vacuum, it was in very filthy condition, the brush roll almost had no bristles, and the outer bag was badly damaged, and the only outer bag I could find on eBay at the time was one for a titanium silver XL21 (and it does match the color scheme quite nicely), now after a major surgery (new brush roll, belt, and a wash out of the outer bag), it's ready to show what it can do. This vacuum is extremely lightweight, and is definitely what makes Oreck vacuums so famous, they're definitely a good vacuum for older folks or people who have back or arthritis problems. This does come with a canister like all Oreck's do, but the one for this one went missing by the previous owner which I personally didn't mind, all I wanted was the upright itself, but that does work well and is useful for cleaning furniture, stairs, and even detailing your car. This does feature a 2 speed motor which can be switched to low speed for cleaning low pile area rugs or even bare floors (and surprisingly for a vacuum that lacks a brush roll shutoff feature, this actually does good on bare floors and doesn't spit dirt out the back of it since it actually comes with a little squeegee on the back to prevent dirt from shooting out the back). It features a 3.5 amp motor (smaller and more quiet than the 4 amp motor on the classic models) with direct air design (and it performs much better than the 4 amp classic Oreck's since it has a larger opening to the fan, as well as a larger fan itself) and takes type CC bags (one thing I will credit Oreck's for is their filtration for being a direct air vacuum, it's really fantastic). The suction is not the best (but it is better than Classic Oreck's), the airflow is great (thanks to its larger fan and fan chamber), and the agitation good (better than the Classic), but not the best because the brushes on the brush roll aren't stiff (even though they're not stiff, the brush roll on these XL21 based Oreck's are much stiffer than the Classic series and can sure agitate much better than the Classics). My only complaint about this machine is for how easily these clog up even with a slightly larger fill tube over the classic models. Overall, this is a very nice vacuum to use and does perform amazing.
