Ellie is a 4-year-old Appaloosa mare who was once afraid and seriously claustrophobic about being inside the trailer—especially when it came to backing out, which is often the toughest part to fix. She would do almost anything to avoid it.
In this final part of Day 2, watch as Luke Brown of Reata Horsemanship helps Ellie become even more certain, relaxed, and confident loading and unloading. While her first session took nearly 3.5 hours, Day 2 was down to just 1.5 hours—proof of how much progress a horse can make in a short time with the right guidance.
From panicked and resistant on Day 1 to calm and confident by the end of Day 2, Ellie shows what’s possible when you approach training with patience, clarity, and consistency.
