Icom IC9700 Real time clock battery Replacement, without removing or modifying the screening cover

This option allows the Real time clock battery to be changed leaving the original Battery soldered in circuit but isolated from the main control board.
No modifications or de-soldering of the Screening cover.
The original battery can stay in place. less risk of damaging the main PCB or its components while removing with a soldering iron or hot air.

Remove R251, use a coin cell holder with a diode in series with the positive lead to stop the coin cell from being charged by the IC9700 circuit.
Solder the Coin cell holder positive terminal to the D251 cathode or the empty pad just below, solder the negative terminal to radio ground point.
