SHISHIKSHA – NCISM Internship Orientation Programme for BAMS |6-Day Bench to Bedside (2025–26 Batch)

The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) has launched SHISHIKSHA – Bench to Bedside, a uniform 6-day Internship Orientation Programme for all BAMS interns, applicable from the 2025–26 batch onward. 🌿

This national-level module bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world clinical practice, ensuring every Ayurveda intern begins their journey with confidence, ethics, and professional readiness.

🔹 Key Highlights of SHISHIKSHA:
• Duration: 6 Days (42 Hours)
• Conducted before the start of internship
• Covers NABH standards, biomedical waste management, HIMS, medico-legal awareness, communication, leadership, and research skills
• Enhances clinical competence, empathy, and teamwork
• Aims to produce skilled, ethical, and digitally aware Ayurveda doctors

This initiative, along with Ayurpraveshika (for first-year students), completes the NCISM framework — from entry to internship — ensuring standard Ayurveda education across India.
