Today at Ugly Truck, we're building the fuel pumps for the dual tanks on this 1985 Chevy C10 5.3L swap. Utilizing the original sending unit hole makes it easy to service these pumps in the future, and scavenging parts from a 1987 sending unit saves time and money. Every vehicle, and every swap, is different... so sometimes you have to get a little creative, and these aftermarket fuel pump kits are very adaptable. Hopefully this gives you some ideas for your own project!
Here's a list of the parts we used on this 85 C10 with dual tanks.
FiTech Fuel Injection 50015 Tight Fit Retro Kit 340
Two 6AN female to 3/8 push on barb fittings (we used Evil Energy)
Spectra Premium FG01A fuel sending unit (for 1987 FI truck, comes with new seal and lock ring)
Gates Greenstripe 5/16 fuel hose
Gates Barricade 3/8 fuel injection hose
Gates 1/4 vacuum line
