This video was inspired by the episode Trick or Treat, Freak of season two of the dark mystery sci-fi thriller Netflix show Stranger Things set in the cozy nostalgic ear of the 80s. The image is a combination of screenshots from a scene where Jonathan Byers, the older brother of Will buyers drops his younger brother off to join his long time friends and Dungeons and Dragons companions Dustin, Mike, and Lucas for this years trick or treating. Dressed as the Ghostbusters, they roam the neighborhood, going door to door collecting all kinds of candy. Later on the activities are cut short by Will being attacked by the Mind Flayer. A giant creature made of swirling pillars of black dust resembling a tornado. Luckily the monster only lives inside the strange parallel world called the Upside Down. But lately it seems to try and find a way to enter ours.
This soundscape is made from distant urban Halloween night sounds of people talking and greeting one another, whistling wind, autumn leaves rustling in the October wind, crows croaking, owls hooting, and distant thunder to create a feeling of foreboding, a coming storm.
