What is an APP or Advanced Practice Provider?

What are Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)? Advanced practice providers are licensed medical practitioners including physician assistants, nurse practitioners. They typical provide the same level of care as a physician but work under the oversight of a doctor.

APPs in Primary Care are part of the care team at Henry Ford Health. They allow for greater access to care, and an added layer to help ensure patients have good outcomes.
