We Hiked 15KM to Reach This Heaven: MULLAH KI BASTI

Our journey began from the peaceful village of Besal, where the air was fresh and the mountains stood tall with stories waiting to be heard. What lay ahead was a challenging 15km trek to a place that’s rarely seen — Mullah ki Basti, a hidden gem tucked deep in the northern Kaghan Valley.

Alongside Khawar, Hafiz, Atif Raza, Ahmad, and Khadim, we set out on this epic adventure through forests, open meadows, rocky plateaus, and icy streams. This trail isn't just about reaching the destination — it's about the laughs we shared, the steep climbs we pushed through, and the unforgettable moments we created together.

The route follows Poorbi Narr, a tributary of the Kunhar River, leading us through breathtaking scenery with every step. The elevation gain of over 2,000 feet tested our stamina, but the views and peaceful silence of the mountains made it all worth it.

We walked over log bridges, through marshy plateaus, and even crossed snowy patches as we climbed higher. Along the way, we met cattle herders living in summer homes, heard the distant call of marmots, and soaked in the beauty of wild alpine flowers.
