How To Change your Engine Oil + Filter || Isuzu Mu-x + D-max Tutorial || 4WD Maintenance ||

In this video I show you all of the steps necessary to carry out an Oil and Filter service on your Isuzu Mu-x and D-max. 4WD Maintenance made easy! This is something every 4wdriver needs to learn. It will save you a heap of money and you will also know that you are getting a top quality job. Being able to pick your brand of oil and filter is also another perk of servicing your 4wd yourself.

It is very important to keep your 4wd vehicle maintained properly. We need to be able to rely on our four wheel drives to start every time and never let us down. The most basic form of maintenance is changing the engine oil and filter. I use a Penrite 10w40 Enviro+ DPF compatible Low ash oil in my Isuzu Mu-x. The mu-x and d-max with the 4jj1 engine take approx 7.5-8L of engine oil. The engine oil filter required is a RYCO filter Z929.

You will require some basic tools to carry out this job. You will need an oil drain pan, oil filter removal pliers, funnel, 17mm socket/extension and breaker bar or ratchet. Follow these links below to grab the tools you will need to carry out the job -
