1873- Sauza family commercially distills
1884- Don Cenobio Sauza imports 3 barrels to El Paso, Texas, USA on horseback
1893- Chicago world fair, Tequila is introduced
1946- Don Eladio Sauza world ambassador for tequila industry
1973- Denominación de Origen (DO) established, protecting the Tequila name.
