The Day Basil Slipped Away

Plot: Instead of being able to save Olivia from being killed by the gears in Big Ben, Basil is unable to save her and she dies. Being eaten alive by his guilt and self-loathing, Basil can't fight the will to fight Ratigan on the clock and doesn't fight back. Feeling there is no reason for him left to live, Basil allows himself to fall off the hands of the clock to his death, taking Ratigan down with him. Little does Basil know that Olivia is actually alive and has been with her father and Dawson when he was fighting Ratigan.

The first verse and chorus is Olivia remembering Basil and the second verse is Basil remembering Olivia's kidnap and eventual "death". The rest is mixed. I don't care if Basil is considered a pedophile, this pairing is unbearably cute and fluffy. Hope you enjoyed watching. I'm considering making a fanfiction to go with this but we'll see.
