Mayfair Mall - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Welcome to the Mayfair Mall located in . Wauwatosa, WI. The Mayfair Mall opened 1958 as an open air concourse. Gimbles was the first anchor to open before the mall was completed. A year later Marshal Field’s opened at the mall. In 1973 the mall was inclosed. An arcade called The Bazaar would take over the fonmer Central Park area. A office tower was built by the mall in 1975. In 1986 The Bazaar and a short lived ice skating closed at the mall. Instead a 2 level atrium was built adding a brand new food court. The upper level was expanded adding more retail space. Also in 1986 Gimbles closed and the space was converted into a Boston Store. In 1999 a movie theater and a Barnes and Noble opened at the mall, including more retail space. In 2005 the General Cinema was purchased by AMC. In 2006 Marshal Field’s was purchased by Macy’s and the store was converted into Macy’s. In 2015 Nordstrom opened at the mall. In 2018 Boston Store closed at the mall due to bankruptcy. In 2023 the mall is thriving at 95% occupied, let’s go inside and take a look.
