Creating a cardboard guitar with a built-in lightst can be a fun and creative DIY project! Here’s how you can do it in a few steps.
Materials:
1. Cardboard sheets (about 3-4 pieces for durability)
2. Craft knife and scissors
3. Glue or tape
4. Paint or markers
5. A small LED light or battery-powered fairy lights
6. Clear plastic (optional, for a “window” effect)
Steps:
1. Cut out the Body: Draw and cut the shape of a guitar body from the cardboard. You’ll need at least two identical pieces.
2. Add Depth: To make the guitar look 3D, glue extra cardboard layers along the sides to build the body depth.
3. Neck and Headstock: Cut out a neck and headstock from cardboard and attach it securely to the body.
4. Insert Lights: If using LED or fairy lights, place them inside the guitar body. Create a small opening or “window” in the body and cover it with clear plastic for a light-up effect.
5. Decoration: Paint or decorate your guitar as desired, and turn on the lights to showcase your creation!
