Final Fantasy III (Pixel Remaster) Longplay (1/2)

Hello and welcome to this longplay of Final Fantasy III (3). This is the pixel remaster. The pixel remaster is Final Fantasy I-VI (1-6) remade for modern console. This is the third Final Fantasy. This is the point where I like to talk a little about why I like this game. As per usual if you have a story about why you like this game please leave it in the comments below. I would love to read about it. I simply love the Final Fantasy series. What better time than then pixel remasters to enjoy them all over again. Final Fantasy III holds such a special place in my heart. This one has such a wonderful story of friendship, and four unlikely heroes rising to the challenge to save the world. This entry also has some of my favorite lore of the whole series. There are mentions of the balance of light and darkness falling in and out of sync every so often. What's also mentioned is that, perhaps light is not good and dark is not bad. Each are there are forces that need to be kept in balance. Which, as an aside, this holds a lot of relevance to another Square Enix series. Kingdom Hearts. Warriors of light and darkness. Throughout the game of Final Fantasy III there are mentions of four brave warriors of darkness who helped fight back the light when it was trying to overtake the world. Like I mentioned neither light or darkness can be a dominating force. They need to live in balance. Later in the game you even meet the four warriors of darkness. It's honestly very well written and I really like the idea of a game from 1990 challenging the notions of its own lore. Leading the player to believe that perhaps like history, not all legends are what they are cracked up to be. It tells us that perhaps it's not always four champions of light stomping the darkness. We know from playing Final Fantasy I (1) that when darkness begins to take over, four warriors of light are chosen to help fight back the darkness. It's nice to know that when light gets to ambitious the darkness also can summon four brave warriors to fight for itself too. I just really think this game is so well written. There are so many Final Fantasy games out there and it may seem hard to pick which game you'll start with or which game to recommend people jump in on (since they are not stories told in chronological order), I think this is a great entry to start with honestly. And, most Final Fantasy games are available on most modern consoles, there are now lots of reasons to play these games. This game is a master class in story telling, and I didn't even mention the music. Oh well! Perhaps I'll gush about the classes, combat, and music in part two.
