Spring is a great time for bird photography. And one of my target species this year is woodpeckers. The white backed woodpecker is endangered in Norway due to habitat loss and fragmentation. It prefers old-growth forests with a high density of dead and decaying trees, which provide the insects and larvae it feeds on.
By camping outdoors it gives me the opertunity to spend time, documenting this bird.
