In Part 1 from our paddling adventures in the Les Cheneaux Islands we start out in Hessel and search for a shipwreck, which we successfully find and spend time exploring.T
The Les Cheneaux Islands are located in the eastern Upper Peninsula and are an archipelago made up of 36 islands which lead to endless opportunities for exploring the area by boat or by paddling. There are two good spots to start for spending a day on the water in the Les Cheneaux Islands area, Hessel and Cedarville, which are separated by only a few miles.
