Work on yard Structures continues, as we combine a DPM kit and a Rail Scale Models kit into one much longer background structure. This video cover the first half of the build, including planning, part prep, filling gaps, priming, painting and adding the mortar lines in which two different techniques are employed. The first mortar technique involves oil washes, and the second utilizes joint compound. At the end of the video is a short run by, thank you and shout out to Dave at the Crooked River and Eastern for his generous addition to the fleet of rolling stock on my railroad. In the next installment, we'll finish the builds, covering the windows, details, and the roof.
