In this 8mm footage captured by Russell F. Munroe, Jr. in the mid-1960s, we view action on the Maine Central's famed Mountain Division. Running from Portland, ME through he White Mountains of New Hampshire to St. Johnsbury, VT, the Mountain Division is famous for its world class scenery and challenging mountain grades. We see long freight complete with helper units, as well as a handful of railfan passenger excursions.
