Maqam Al-Saeedi is a maqam composed by Hamid Al-Saadi, the only living Maqam singer who performs the entire Baghdadi Maqam repertoire in its entirety. Saeedi is a small qita' (secondary melody) used in Maqam Arayboon Arab, and combines the modes of Hijaz and Rast. It is mentioned in texts and was part of the Maqam repertoire prior to the recorded era. Hamid Al-Saadi has revived this Maqam as an addition to the current Maqam practice. In this performance, the Maqam is followed by two pestaat (popular songs): Habibi Rah and Foug il-nakhal.
