■ AL RASHIDIYA DISTRICT:
Al Rashidiya is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Al Rashidiya is located south of Dubai International Airport in Deira, the eastern region of Dubai. The locality is bounded to the north by route D 89 (Al Khawaneej Road), the west by route D 62 (Nad Al Hammar Road) and the east by route E 311 (Emirates Road). A local street, "201 Road", separates Al Rashidiya from the locality of Nad Al Shamma. Al Rashidiya borders Dubai International Airport to the north, Umm Ramool to the west, Nad Al Shamma to the south and Mirdif to the east. Local roads in Al Rashidiya follow a grid plan, with even-numbered roads running northeast–southwest, and odd-numbered roads running northwest–southeast. Al Rashidiya shares the local road addressing system with the locality of Nad Al Shamma.

Important landmarks in Al Rashidiya include Al Rashidiya Park, Nad shamma Park, Rashidiya Grand Mosque and Bin Sougat Shopping Mall. Al Rashidiya is a relatively wealthy neighbourhood of expatriates and Emiratis. The locality is dotted with independent villas and town homes. Dubai's Airport Tunnel, part of which connects Al Rashidiya to Al Qusais, was the longest tunnel in the Middle East when it was built. The tunnel is 1.6 km (0.99 mi) long and cost Dh. 686 million (US$ 190 million).

■ CENTREPOINT METRO STATION:
It's a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE. The eastern terminus of the line, it is one of three Metro stations with a park and ride lot, the others being Etisalat Metro Station and Jebel Ali Metro Station. It is formerly named Rashidiya Metro Station. On 4th August 2021, this station was renamed as Centrepoint. It is located in Al Rashidiya District of eastern Dubai which is mostly a residential area. Points of interest near the station include: schools and community centres, Dubai Airport Expo and Dubai Royal Air Wing of the Dubai International Airport. Centrepoint Metro Station was opened on Sept 9, 2009 and one of the busiest stations on the Dubai Metro. It is one of the few stations classed as a type 3 elevated station, indicating it has three tracks rather than the usual two. This allows trains to be held and stored easily. The tracks to and from Centrepoint parallel the southern side of Airport Road, continuing eastward to one of the network's depots.

■ UNION METRO STATION:
Opened on 9 September 2009 (09-09-09) as part of the initial stretch of the Dubai Metro, with Red Line trains running from Rashidiya to Nakheel Harbour and Tower. Union was one of seven intermediate stations to begin service, with additional stations on the Red Line added intermittently over the next year. Exactly two years later, the Green Line began service. The area around the station is known for its extraordinary amount of stray cats. Located in Deira, Union station lies below Union Square. It is one of the closest metro stations to the central portion of Dubai Creek. As a result of its central location, nearby attractions and points of interest include numerous consulates, Dubai municipal government buildings, Al Ghuhair City Mall and Maktoum Hospital. It is also close to Al Ghurair Centre, Dubai Creek, Twin Towers, and Union Square Bus Station (with buses to Ajman, Fujairah, and Sharjah. As one of two interchange points between the Green and Red Lines, Union station is one of the most complex stations of the Dubai Metro. Spanning 25,000 square metres (269,098 sq ft), it is the largest underground station in the world. Both lines utilise a side platform setup with two tracks each; the Green Line tracks approach the station from the west below Al Maktoum Road and turn northwards underneath Omar Bin Al Khattab Road, while the Red Line crosses Dubai Creek and travels below Omar Bin Al Khattab Road before turning sharply eastward underneath Al Rigga Road.
