Gaeta - Piana di Sant' Agostino - una delle spiagge piu' belle del Lazio

La spiaggia di Sant'Agostino e' la piu' lunga e frequentata di Gaeta, e' lunga circa 2 km. ed il nome deriva dall'omonima baia, dominata dal Monte Moneta la cui vetta sfiora i 360 metri. La spiaggia e' fine e dorata, costituisce la lunga riviera di ponente ed e' arricchita da numerosi ristoranti e strutture campeggistiche. Il mare e' blu intenso, incorniciato da cadute rocciose molto suggestive, la lunga spiaggia e' sia libera che attrezzata. La baia di Sant' Agostino e' rinomata inoltre, tra gli alpinisti e gli scalatori che qui praticano Free Climbing su una delle pareti rocciose piu' alte del Monte Moneta. Abbiamo soggiornato per un Week-end presso lo Stabilimento Balneare e Campeggio da Benedetto, un'area Sosta Camper attrezzato con tavola calda, bar, bagni, docce, corrente per camper, area barbecue, noleggio canoe e spiaggia attrezzata, gestori gentilissimi e cortesi una bellissima e piacevolissima scoperta, torneremo!!!

Sant'Agostino beach is the longest and most popular in Gaeta, it's about 2 km. long and it's name derives from the bay of the same name dominated by Mount Moneta, whose peak reaches almost 360 metres. The beach is fine and golden, it consitutes the long western coast and is enriched by numerous restaurants and camping facilities. The sea is intense blue, framed by very suggestive rocky falls, the long beach is bothh free and equipped. Sant'Agostino bay is also renowned among mountaineers and climbers who practice Free Climbing here on one of the highest rock faces of Monte Moneta. We stayed for a Weekend at the bathing establishment and campsite da Benedetto, a camper rest area equipped with a hot food bar toilets, showers electricity camper hours barbecue area canoe rental and equipped beach, very kind and courteous managers a beautiful and pleasant discovery, we will be back.
