Finally had the chance to assemble the Traxxas X-Maxx 2085x metal gear servo. Testing it on 6S here.
New upgrades are the Hot Racing aluminum steering bellcrank assembly including the aluminum servo horn.
Problems:
I think there are some problems with the stock ESC.
The motor stutters on its own, jams to halt while throttle is released.
ESC fan slows down when servo is engaged.
The truck stutters when turning the steering to the right. (Although TSM is fully turned off, I think it's still messing the servo up)
On 8S run on the later video, you'll see me lose steering control altogether.
I just ordered a Hobbywing Max 6 as I don't intend on upgrading the motor. Hopefully the new ESC will solve all of the above problems.
