The talk mainly emphasizes the saying - "Choose courage over comfort, risk over safety." It elaborates on Aarunya - A rural collective for women by the women of Narayanpet District. The pot makers, weavers, and many people residing under the umbrella of art and craft had to undergo a lot of vicissitudes to reach the position they are currently in. The entire journey of the Aarunya community is very motivating yet compelling. Ms. Harichandana Dasari is referred to as a Dynamic IAS Officer in India with substantial vision. She cleared the UPSC exams on the second attempt and was assigned to Telangana's state cadre (IAS 2010 Batch). She top-off her M.Sc in Environmental Sciences at the London School of Economics. She has one year of work experience in a U.N.D.P project funded by the World Bank, worked as an Assistant Collector, Sub Collector, T.S Cadre, Zonal Municipal Commissioner, Collector & District Magistrate under the Government of India, and worked as an Additional Commissioner and Managing Director. She received immense awards from state and Central Governments. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
