Cloud 9 is a nice place to be :)

This is a film of all the freesurfs around the wsl comp. I was really impressed with the level of surfing all the kids showed. When the tide is even a little bit wrong this is not an easy wave to surf (especially when it's crowded becuase they've all pushed each other pretty deep ) and all the kids did so well in it. At times the wave would be running so fast ,but they would still be matching it and fitting in turns. If I showed you the clips at normal speed it doesn't even look real how fast they were moving. Not to mention the fact that they would be squaring up into sections or hucking airs in places that were so powerfull and dumpy and super shallow. While waterfilming I was compressed into the reef on several occasions to give you an idea of what they were dealing with. But even when the didn't make it and took beating they woudl be paddling back out laughing. Good on you guys and girls it was inspiring to witness.
