EntScoop Chats With Alessio Scalzotto

On this EntScoop Chats, our host, Kelly Gilmore, spoke to one of the stars of A Babysitter's Guide To Monster Hunting, Alessio Scalzotto. He has been acting for a few years and has already landed some amazing roles and gained over 300,000 followers on Instagram!

He is also building a career as a musician as well. He goes by the name zotto and has been putting out music for the past two years. Get to know him better with us today!

A Babysitter's Guide To Monster Hunting
In the film, Alessio plays the character Victor Colletti. The film was released on October 14th on Netflix and has been doing really well. It's about "two teenagers that have to basically track down, fight monsters...cause you know, monsters play a big role in babysitting."

He said it was very easy to play the role pf Victor. At the time of filming, Alessio was also in high school just like his character. He had also gone to public school most of his life so they had that in common too. In the end, he wouldn't want to play any other character in the film and we think they got him casted right as Victor too!

Another exciting aspect of the role was being able to work with Harry Potter legend, Tom Felton. Scalzotto told us that he was never really a big Harry Potter fan but that meeting Felton was a nice experience because he was a really nice guy.

Scalzotto's Projects
Scalzotto shared that his favorite project still has to be the first big role that he landed. He was able to play the role of young Picasso in the show Genius. He one day hopes to star in a action or drama film. He feels like that is something he would really shine in. He couldn't tell us if he was currently working on projects but he did say we should keep an eye out.

Music
Aside from acting, Alessio has a career in music as well! He latest singles dropped only two days ago. They are called "Show Me" and "Kum & Go." Give them a listen and be sure to add them to your next playlist!

Scalzotto doesn't really get inspiration from any one thing. He says that when he writes a song it kind of just happens. He doesn't have any rituals but he still has a big enough passion for music to continue pursuing it.
