ARTUR PAREDES' GUITARS - live show at Casa da Escrita, Coimbra (VLOG #14)

After a while, here I am with a video filled with good music!

A couple of weeks ago, on May 10th, Artur Paredes would be celebrating his birthday if he was still alive, and the City Hall of Coimbra - that owns three of his guitars - decided to invite some guitarists for a performance in his honor.

Artur Paredes is well-known amongst those that live in Coimbra. His father already played, and he inherited the talent and passion from him - a passion he also passed to his son, Carlos Paredes, considered the best guitarist of all times in Portugal. They played the Portuguese Guitar, a beautiful great-sounding 12 string instrument that is typical from this Country. Artur Paredes, together with the Grácio family (famous family of Luthiers in Portugal), developed the final shape and sound of the Portuguese Guitar model of Coimbra - a very singular instrument that you can get to know well by watching my video about "The Portuguese Guitar" (here:    • THE PORTUGUESE GUITAR | FADO IN PORTUGAL |...  .
