How to Fertilize Blackberries!

Fertilizing blackberries is critical for successful blackberry production! Keep in mind that you need to amend the soil before planting. Add the the recommended Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphorus. Blackberries require lots of nitrogen during the growing season to grow plenty of primoanes for the next growing season. We add 15 lbs of Nitrogen per acre 3 times a year. At bloom, 6 weeks after and around the time when the berries come out of production. Any form of fertilizer works as long as the plants are getting the nutrients!
