Currently serving as Executive Director – Retail Transformation and Marketing at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), he drives digital innovation, customer-centric retailing and India’s clean-energy transition. He has led nationwide expansion of LNG, CNG, CBG and EV infrastructure, overseen Auto LNG rollouts, and shaped modern non-fuel retail formats through integrated highway amenities. His international contributions include strengthening IOCL’s partnership with Petronas, developing market-entry strategy for an ASEAN nation and aligning global retail formats with India’s evolving energy ecosystem. Previously, as State Retail Head for Karnataka and Bihar-Jharkhand, he managed 5,000+ outlets with an annual turnover of $5–6 billion, while ensuring regulatory alignment and operational excellence. His earlier leadership roles—from GM (Marketing) influencing national retail policy to divisional responsibilities handling $350 million regional businesses—reflect his ability to scale operations, integrate teams post-merger and drive customer-first transformation.

Beginning his career in engineering roles at IOCL and building critical fueling infrastructure, Nikhil blends technical depth with strategic foresight. His boardroom exposure as Director at Lanka IOC and IOP Synergy sharpened his governance, cross-cultural integration and innovation insight. Having cleared NDA and SSB early in life, he carries forward strong discipline, patriotic values and a mentoring mindset. Today, as he transitions toward broader board responsibilities, he remains committed to advancing digital transformation, renewable energy and governance excellence.
