"Huyai Tivake nzira YaBaba" translates to "Come, Let Us Build the Way of the Father." This is a case where the first shall be the last and the last shall be the first because the first will hold on to the past while the last will adhere to the newest ultimate declarations if they join the mission. That's what the verse is implying.
