Pastor Chuck Smith - The Revelation of Jesus Christ - Revelation Chapter 4

In this lesson, Pastor Chuck Smith expounds on Revelation chapter 4, illuminating the three divisions from chapter 1 “Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter” (Revelation 1:19). Chuck will unfold the visions, the history of the church, and the prophetic future events for us.

Next Pastor Chuck will focus on the third section (the prophetic future events), John's vision of heaven's door opening and the declaration of what is in the future - the rapture (the great harpazo - the 1st resurrection of the faithful believers — the church).
Further, Chuck explains John's awe-inspiring vision of God's presence on the divine throne, the radiant brilliance it radiated, and the rainbow circling it, the presence of 24 elders seated on thrones and donning golden crowns. He explores whether they represent the church or cherubic angelic beings giving insights into both views.
This lesson also emphasizes the heavenly worship by the cherubim and the 24 elders who pour their adorations towards God, expressing His worthiness of glory, honor and power, forever and ever - Amen.
See Revelation 4:11 “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created”.
Pastor Chuck proves that humans are created for God's delight and His companionship, and true joy derives from a profound relationship with God, not from transient happiness sourced from external circumstances, and pleasures. Pastor Chuck urges us to lead lives pleasing to God, for it as human life's main purpose.
The lesson concludes with an encouraging call to seek God's kingdom first and His righteousness.
A major theme of this book is Jesus invites anyone burdened or in need to come Him for He said is the gospel of John “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out”. John 6:37
