Here's a walk-around and detailed review of the 2013 Ford Escape SEL with the 1.6L EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine. Overall, the Escape is an excellent entry in the small SUV segment, with great steering, handling, features, and interior quality. However, the 1.6L turbocharged engine is down on power and the real-world highway fuel economy of 27 mpg on my trip is not very impressive for such a small engine. Lastly, problems with MyFord Touch have been numerous among many owners, but hopefully those issues will be rectified with newer models and new software updates.
