Washoe County Second Judicial District County Judge Kathleen Drakulich on Friday approved a settlement agreement between Waste Management and several property owners and managers in the Reno area.
A long-running class-action lawsuit filed against the company alleged various unfair practices that cost property managers thousands of dollars each month in extra charges levied by Waste Management.
The company will pay $2.25 million in attorney fees to attorneys who filed the case on behalf of several Reno-area property owners. The amount also includes fees paid by the plaintiffs.
