Is Your MIL-SPEC AR-15 Actually MIL-SPEC?
Your AR-15 may be full of MIL-SPEC (Military Specification) parts and components but, would it actually pass a MIL-SPEC qualification test?

MIL-SPEC is a good, universal set of standards that are backed up by testing and data. By following military specifications for your rifle, you gain a level of parts life expectation and universality of parts between platforms. That being said, not all AR-15 rifles are built equally and even if the parts that they have are MIL-SPEC, the rifle itself may not pass military testing standards through a 6,000 round endurance test.
