BIGGEST Elevators I've Filmed! MASSIVE Fujitec Elevators | Dubai Airport Terminal 3, AE

My flight stopover at Dubai Airport isn't complete without filming these MASSIVE elevators! These are now the BIGGEST elevators I've filmed so far, surpassing my previous record of IKEA Alam Sutera's 5000 kg KONE TranSys elevators! I filmed these in June 2024 and again in February 2025 when I flew back home alone, which was a good opportunity for me to get a better and longer take.

These massive elevators were made by Fujitec and according to their project reference on their global website, there are eight cars with a whopping 120 persons/9100 kilograms capacity, 1.6 meters per second speed and two doors which is so unique. They are the AC-GL gearless type and are dubbed as "SKYTRAIN", probably a reference to their "two doors in one car" design. Furthermore they run entirely automatic so there are no buttons outside and inside, and only alarm buttons inside for emergency purpose. Four cars go between the arrival and Gates A level and the other four go up to Gates B & C.

Unfortunately ThyssenKrupp have replaced the names with their own as they currently maintain the elevators at Dubai Airport. I'm not sure whether these elevators have been modernized by TKE or not, and I don't know when they began maintaining these. The four cars that go up to Gates B & C still have the Fujitec names though. Overall these are really awesome elevators, and definitely one of the BEST I've filmed!
