DIY Front of the engine, cylinder head (at the head gasket) oil leak on 1996-2000 (other years may apply) 4 cylinder engines, kompressor and non-kompressor. Basic skill level, less than an hour. You will need a new Camshaft Cover gasket set (highly recommended).
Tools required -
ratchet, extensions, screwdriver (or a prying tool),
10 mm socket (10mm u-joint optional),
5mm hex socket ("allen" type),
6mm LONG SHAFT hex BALL socket (get a good one, cheap ones break VERY easily),
T30 wrench,
M12 12 point long shaft socket (optional, for head bolts)
magnet and non-lint paper towels.
Little bit of brains and some common sense.
Torque values -
Camshaft Cover bolts (I said Valve Cover in the video) - 9Nm (7lbf ft)
M6 bolts - 10 Nm (7lbs ft)
