Managing COVID-19 - Lessons & Key Takeaways | Dr. Mukhtiar Zaman | RMI | Peshawar

Rehman Medical Institute hosted a teleconference with Chinese health experts to learn from their experience of managing COVID-19. The conference was attended by representatives from the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar, Khyber Teaching Hospital - KTH Peshawar, Peshawar Medical College and the Health Department. The event was also joined by Mr Zia Ullah Khan Bangash, advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science Technology & Information Technology.

He has got extensive experience of 30 years, managing patients suffering from variety of chest diseases on in-patient and out-patient basis in United Kingdom and Pakistan. Currently He is a professor and Incharge of Pulmonology unit Rehman Medical Institute and is responsible for undergraduate and post graduate training. He has established pioneering track in the community engagement health promotion and community based research. He has got more than 50 original research papers to his credit and has trained hundreds of post graduate students who are currently working in many different hospital in the country and abroad. He is a founder chief executive of Abaseen Foundation which is actively working in the field of health, education, research and relief in different areas of KPK and merged districts.
