Comparing the Cricut Autopress to a $1000 Traditional Heat Press

The Cricut Autopress is the newest clamshell heat press on the block, but at its $1000 price tag, it’s certainly on the pricier side. While the Autopress has many great features, it also lacks a few features that some might expect to find on a heat press in this price range. Since we have a high-end clamshell heat press in the shop—the TransPro Plus 1620, we decided to do a side-by-side comparison of these two nearly $1000 heat presses.

It’s important to note that we’re doing our best to be impartial in this video and are simply giving you a side-by-side comparison of the two heat presses. We’ll show you what the Cricut Autopress and a traditional heat press have in common—as well as show the many differences. We’ll also do some side-by-side test heat presses to show you how well both the Autopress and the traditional heat press perform across a variety of materials.
