These baboons are everywhere in the mountains of Abha and other parts of Asir region. They are native to the region. They dwell in the mountain ranges and can be found in hordes on the outskirts of Abha.
Feeding these baboons is a popular activities for local and international tourists. Usually, these baboons can be seen along the highways. It is not recommended to feed them but some tourist gives them food to ate for entertainment purposes as well as to invite them to come.
