My Beetle's engine has been sitting noticeably down on the left-hand side, and it's been bugging me for a while. In this video, I finally get to the bottom of it. I replace the tired engine mounts and install a Kafer Cup brace to firm things up and straighten the engine in the bay. It’s not a modification that most people will ever see, but it makes a huge difference to how everything lines up and feels. If your engine looks wonky in your Beetle, this might be the fix you’re after.
